About Krug...
When in 1843 Johann-Joseph Krug founded the champagne house of the same name, he had one single dream: to see his name associated with a unique Champagne! As far as he is concerned, there’s only one rule to be applied: there must be no compromise under any circumstances! Today, six generations later, he would welcome the strong desire for perfection, for sure. Krug only produces 'Cuvées de Prestige', which is quite exceptional for this appellation. Its international fame is due to its exceptional expertise, which mainly translates to excellence ánd patience, the House of Krug letting its champagnes mature a minimum period of six to eight years. The Krug 'Grande Cuvée' Champagne, a multimillésime (i.e. a blend from different vintages), accounts for 80% of total production.
