Siran's 1994 is a surprisingly extracted wine with medium body, deep color, and good purity and ripeness. Some astringent tannin in the finish raises questions as to how much of that component will melt away before the fruit begins to fade. Certainly the wine is well-endowed as well as carefully made. It should turn out to be a good example of Margaux in this slightly firm vintage.
